Agneya completed his PhD in the lab of Joern Piel at ETH Zurich, Switzerland where he focussed on expanding the genomic and biological space for natural product production and engineering. Before joining Caravel, Agneya spent two years at Ginkgo Bioworks working in the codebase team leading and contributing technically to projects across multiple industrial domains.

Agneya grew up in India and is currently living in his fourth country. Outside of work he enjoys cooking, exploring restaurants, playing squash, bouldering and sometimes biking.
